Our mission is in preserving Hawaiian culture better than it was transmitted to us. For the next generations to come, by supporting all Maui’s canoe clubs.
Imua Maui Foundation is here to connect with our heritage, promote teamwork, and cultivate a sense of community. We will work with the Maui canoe hales helping to restore and preserve the culture, we will find funding and sponsorship used to repair and build canoes used for racing. Helping to bring the community together and enrich healthy practices in our community.
Everyone has their part on the ‘Āina and that’s to protect the culture, especially due to the fires, ours is through the water. So the keiki have something to come too; rather than the streets. We will contribute to the growth and continuation of the sport, which in turn helps to perpetuate Hawaiian cultural values and practices associated within The Hawaiian islands!
